US Army Military Police Enlisted Dress Blue Uniform? Is the White cap with the green and gold piping worn with the Dress Blues? What about the MP Brassard and Badge? I am pretty sure the leather belt kit, pouches, whistles, pistol, holster, billy club, and etc. are not worn with the dress blue. I am trying to create a uniform display exhibit, not impersonating anyone. This is the cap: http://www.omahas.com/catalog/images/products/HED2120lg.jpg

What is the history of the sign of the cross? There is no dispute over the centrality of the Cross in the spirituality and understanding of the Church. The first definitive written records of Christians “making the sign of the Cross” come from the late 2nd and early 3rd centuries. Scholars have long noted that practices/beliefs were assumed and already well in effect (like the Scriptures) by the time they were in written form. The current evidence is that the sign of the Cross was traced with one finger (most likely the thumb) on the forehead (and over the mouth when reading Scripture) and over anyone or anything Christians wished to consecrate. The Cross was traced with the right hand (unless one was disabled, etc.), which itself symbolized intimacy with the Christ “who sits at the right hand of God.” The making the sign of the Cross on one’s forehead corresponds with the ancient cultures of the Scriptures (e.g. Genesis 4; Ezekiel 9). Marks on the forehead conspicuously display and proclaim the spiritual condition or identity of the person as seen and identified by God. Phylacteries (small leather pouches with symbols of the Torah inside them) were worn around the right hand and forehead of the pious Jew. In the New Testament, marks on the forehead or right hand identified people with God or alignment with the antichrist. On the forehead of martyred Christians (Revelation 14 & 22), it symbolized the very Name of God Himself. It was easy to equate m

Males competing for females...? how does the red throat pouch of the male Frigate bird and the wing-waving display of the Buff-breasted sandpiper indicate the fittest male? what are the selective advantages to the winner, and loser, of the fact that aggressive encounters within species for social dominance are usually ritualised displays or symbiotic fights rather than unrestrained fights to the death?
How can you hang photos w/o frames or glass? I live in Texas and at this time of year the weather sometimes gets bad (tornados, severe thunderstorms). I have always displayed family photos in the hallway of our home (which is our safe place during bad weather) and realized that having frames with glass hanging over us when we are seeking SAFE shelter is probably not a very good idea. I have seen in mail order catalogs these pouch type things that you hang on your wall and display a lot of pictures (4x6), but now when I try to find them...I can't! :-( Does anyone have any ideas to hang photos (all sizes) without frames/glass? Does anyone know where to find those photo pouch things (I think it was called "wall it"??)? Thanks for any and all ideas!!

if a jailbroken iphone is restored can apple/ att find out that it was ever jailbroken? Right now, I'm having some problems with my internet. I have dropped my iphone twice so far... once in a rubberized hard case (which for a brief minute made my iphone display a no sim messege on the top left where the bars should be) and once while it was in my dlo leather pouch (don't think there was damage to it). And for about 3 or 4 days now, even when my iphone detects 3g, or wifi, my AIM doesnt connect. It always says it needs a network connection. Same with my Cydia and Installer (jailbreak programs). So I want to know if I were to restore my iphone and send it back for apple/att to repair, can they find out I jailbroke it therefore voiding warranty

Which of these two camcorders should I get? Hi there. You know, shooting in 480p was alright until the 'big-players' came in. HD has taken over everything from the videos we see on YouTube to the books we read on Kindles and Nooks. And even now HD is wearing off to 3D and who knows if holograms will be around! My question regards to the fact that I want a decent camcorder under $200-$300. I am very much wanting one and need one. Here are my opinions on the two I am looking at- Option 1 (Toshiba Camileo H30) Features: * Digital H.264 Full HD Video Camcorder with digital still camera functionality * 3”-touch screen LCD with 10 MegaPixel CMOS sensor * 1080p Full HD resolution video * 5X Optical Zoom plus 4X (1X 1080p) Digital Zoom * Video stabilization in 720p mode and below * HDMI™ digital AV output * Expandable with SD/SDHC card reader * Easy YouTube™ upload button * Light/Flash built-in * Four record mode settings * File formats: AVI (video), JPG (images) * One-year limited standard warranty In the box: * One Toshiba Camileo H30 Camcorder with Li-Ion Rechargeable battery * Remote control * Hand strap and pouch * Power adapter * Cables (Video, HDMI and USB) * Lens cover * Cleaning cloth * Quick Start Guide * software CD (User?s Manual, ArcSoft Media Converter®, ArcSoft Media Impression®.) That is that. My next is- Option 2 (Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG20) -- Full HD videos, 1080 60i (1920 x 1080 pixels) -- 10MP photos -- Compact, vertical form factor -- CMOS sensor (10.7 megapixels) -- 38 mm wide-angle lens -- 5x optical zoom -- Compatible with SD, SDHC, SDXC cards -- Wireless data transfer via Eye-Fi-SD cards* -- 2.7-inch TFT LCD display (can be turned 285 degrees) -- "Face Chaser" and "Target a Color" functions -- Mini-HDMI port -- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery -- Stylish silver or black color -- Size: 3.37 x 1.47 x 4.34 inches (WxDxH) -- Weight: approx. 5.5 ounces I am leaning towards the h30 camileo. please let me know what you have (or are thinking of getting), which one you think i should get out of these 2 or others, and why. I need to make a decision soon so please let me know. i have used the flip videos so please don't ask me to get those. i need one that the screen can be moved and cost under $200. thanks in advance.
Would a wrap shawl make someone who is top-heavy look thinner or heavier? We are going out next Friday to an outdoor Christmas display and wanted to get something to wear outside that would look cute. I am 5'5", about 215 pounds and most of my weight is in my belly (I had two c-sections and have that yucky "pouch") I found this on Ebay and was wondering if it would help slim me down or if it will just make me look worse since most of my weight is in my belly. I will be wearing a black beret and black gloves as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260324255675 Or this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Womans-Winter-Scarf-Wrap-Shawl-Big-Heavy-One-Size_W0QQitemZ260324253336QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item260324253336&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

i need help figuring out if my dog is pregnant? My dog is displaying a lot of abnormal behavior. She was in heat beginning to mid June. A few weeks ago I noticed she has gotten some small pouches under her nipples but the nipple themselves look normal. I have found her with stuffed animals trying to nurse them, so I thought it was a false pregnancy. I did not try to breed her but she did get loose one day and I dont know what kind of interaction she may have gotten. A few days ago I came home from going to lunch and she had tore up my loveseat and took out all the stuffing. Then last night she chewed up a book. She normally doesnt chew things up so this is very abnormal. She would be close to her due date so I am a bit worried. Today she ate a little food and puked and then ate it again. This is not normal either. Please help!

any suggestion as to what to do when a digital camera got water damage? we were having a snorkeling getaway when i used a supposedly "waterproof" camera pouch to protect my canon sd750 digital camera. we were taking underwater pictures when suddenly, my camera didn't turn on. i decided to set it aside. after awhile, i tried to turn it on, but the camera's metal body/casing was already warm, so i immediately took out the battery. ever since then, it wouldn't turn on, but everytime i place the battery back, there's a blue light on the upper right corner of the camera but doesn't show any display. HELLLLPPPP!!!! I'm sooo desperate to revive my camera. :(((
Alchemy on Etsy... how do I deal with this? I used the Alchemy feature on Etsy to request a special item, let's call it a special handbag with elaborate and ornate hardware featuring specific flowers. A seller/artist contacted me with an offer to make my item and I agreed to allow her to design it according to my request and our discussions. I had a basic idea that I described as best I could, but I was at a loss as to how to make it work and so I let her use her creativity as an artist to pull the piece together. The item is rather expensive for my tastes, but I thought, if I can get this piece to be what I need, then it would be worth it. She never asked me any questions beyond our initial contact and I didn't even know whether or not she was working on the item. A few weeks later, I emailed her asking about it and she let me know she was halfway done with it and asked me when I needed it by. I gave her till the end of August to complete it. A couple of weeks later she emailed me to let me know she was having difficulty with the design, but didn't ask for any input and didn't share what she was doing. Finally, she let me know she completed it, asked for my address and sent it, all before I've even paid for it!! I know I have to pay for it and I don't plan on skipping out on payment or anything (her method of billing me has been somewhat confusing with her messages saying one amount, the invoice saying a slightly different amount and no way to access PayPal from the listing), but after having received the item, I'm slightly disappointed. The item is certainly creative, fun, fanciful and seems like she put in a lot of thought and work and I do like the piece, but she missed out one very important detail and one minor one. Instead of a handbag, she sent me a bag/pouch with the hardware tucked inside it, instead of it being displayed on the outside (and there's no way to attach it to this bag/pouch on the exterior) and the design, while delightful, creative and impressive and I do plan on using it in some way, does not include the flowers I mentioned. Ultimatly, I'm pleased with the hardware as it seems to fulfill the better half of the functionality of what I was seeking and it is certainly going to be a fascinating curiosity I can use with pride, but I'm disappointed that it will not function as I intended and is missing the flowers that were somewhat important to the conception of the piece. I'm also a little dismayed by the somewhat less-then-professional behavior on her part (the failing to let me know she's accepted my offer until she was already halfway done with the piece, sending it without payment and not asking for input from me when she had difficulty or to ensure I was actually getting what I wanted). So, after all her hard work and the essentially lovely piece of serendipity she DID create, do I even bother tell her she missed the mark by a good solid 40% or would that be rude? What kind of feedback do I leave? I feel bad about this because it clearly is an appealing work of art and (if I can attach the hardware to another bag) it will fulfill the function I needed... How do I deal? Thank you, -Scarlet @ John - I wonder what you think paganism has to do with this question? While I do happen to be pagan myself, the project wasn't really related to my religion and I do not have any idea whether or not this artist was pagan... that had nothing to do with my selecting her to make the project. I wouldn't categorize Etsy.com or the Alchemy feature as "our world" in terms of paganism at all! It's open to crafters and hobbyists of all religions. Etsy.com is not a pagan website, it is a site for people who make handcrafted items to sell their wares... like an online craft show and everyone has a booth. This seller didn't seem "unscrupulous"... merely unprofessional.

what is the funniest gift your child has given you? My kids have come up with some good ones. Every year our town has an Elf Shop where little kids go shop for their family behind a curtain with one of Santa's helpers. All the items are donated by people in the area and cost between a nickle and fifty cents. It is a really cute idea, and my kids all love it. Last year my son knew I wanted new throw pillows for the couch so he found me a set of two. They are orange, brown and yellow probably from 1960. But it was soo funny and they are proudly displayed in my dark red and green living room on the couch. My daughter bought my husband a little pouch to put his things in for the inside of his lunchbox. So he wouldn't be searching for things at the bottom of it. Like his keys and chap stick. It was a pink make up case! They are my favorite gifts every year, you really never know what you are gonna get!
Read my short story please? could you also grade it, tell me what you think & how to make it better? It was a cold dull day in early November. The sun was hidden behind thick grey clouds and was only managing to cast small sprays of light. The trees stood naked and tall; with each gust of wind howling through their skeletal like bodies. The area surrounding me seemed as though it was cloaked in a thin narrow mist, blocking out any other sight. As I was eager to arrive home, I accelerated what was remaining of my route and did not stop until I had reached my destination. You might wonder: ‘’why so eager?’’ well I was coming to that. It was that time of the year again and I did not wish to waste a second of it. Bonfire night had finally arrived, and this year, I was more excited than ever. I quickly wrapped my left hand around the icy door handle, and speedily took out my key before unlocking the door. My heart was beating rapidly, sweat dropped from my forehead onto my lips, and I began to pant like a dog. When I entered my small cosy home, my mother was sat anxiously on the couch, waiting to greet me with a warm smile. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw me, and then asked rhetorically ‘‘are you excited then? I’ve got some biggens!’’ ‘’I can’t wait!’’ I replied happily. She giggled in excitement before pulling herself up and heading for the kitchen. ‘’Come on then, you get changed and they’ll start!’’ she said in a state of sheer excitement. I raced my shadow up the stairs before heading quickly into my bedroom. Rushing around my room with anticipation made me tingle inside, I knew what was waiting for me outside, all of them, just pouched eager in the back-garden waiting to be set free to roam the skies, waiting to be set alight to amaze the audience. I could hardly bare it. When I arrived in the kitchen my mother was already heading for the back door, so I followed her with a jog; quickly glancing out of the window to notice the daylight had already crawled into darkness, and the only thing that was visible was my reflection. As I looked to the bottom of the garden I began to feel strange. A sort of ’something doesn’t feel right’ feeling, the one you get when you can sense something in the air, something bad. Like a churning feeling sort of, agitating and seething, eating away any other emotion so it was the only one, the most powerful one, the most painful… I took a deep breath of cool refreshing air; it tasted humid and dry, like damp paper. We stared at the sky in unison to admire other people’s displays. ‘’Haha, are’s are betta!’’ my mum said with a grin look on her face. ‘’I doubt it’’ I said sarcastically. ’’Well it’s time to find out then init!’’ She exclaimed joyfully before strolling down to bottom of the garden to light the first firework… From where I was stood in the yard I could see next-to-nothing. The mist had grown thinker than before, and by now it was almost impossible to see the floor. As mum disappeared deep into the mist, I was almost waiting for her to say ‘’Tonight Matthew, I will be…’’ but of course we were not on ‘Stars in their eyes’ tonight, for this was bonfire night, and to me, this was most important night in the world. Whooooooooooosh! The first rocket blasted into the sky, lighting it up in pink and purple as it exploded. Booooooooooooom! Went another one, this time green and blue sparkles gyrated and zigzagged throughout the sky. ‘’The next is a biggy!’’ my mum said, grasping as she fixed her eyes upon a multi-rocket one. It had at least 50 holes, all craving to pelt out 10 fireworks in a row. ‘’You’ll love this one Ben!’’ my mum smirked. 10 bangs, 20 bangs…wham! A sudden, unexpected gust of wind had blown over the stand the fireworks were on, and the next ten were ready to explode…straight at me! ’’OH GOD!’’ I screamed at top pitch, my stomach feeling like a washing machine, constantly turning and turning. My 12 years of life flashed before my eyes as I drifted into a subconscious haze. I remember the sinking feeling, the aching pain that was about to hit me like a car at top speed. Everything was in slow motion; the birds flying in the cloud infested sky above; the thick smoke drifting in the air; the shaking that consumed my body in fear…I felt sick with dread, just waiting for the firework to blanket me in smoke and fire, feeling so helpless and numb, the wait seemed like a lifetime, but then it hit me, right in the stomach. I dropped to the ground shocked. My body immobilised and deadened. My face set into a horrified hard mask. Warm saliva rolled down my chin onto my neck, but I just lay still. Overwhelmed and flabbergasted. My eyes began to search wildly for my mother, I could feel them rolling back and forward at amazing speed, pounding up and down. I felt helpless, I was another innocent victim struck by the unbelievable force of gun powder, another person to have their raft felt…That is I closed my eyes, yeah that is right, I gave up, and I stopped figh
Are you following the attack on media outlet in Sri Lanka? Per review I would like to know is the following:? The Colombo Post (now defunct) was edited by Sri Lanka’s Consul – General in Toronto. I have read several very different perspectives on the closure of the paper but what seems to stand out is that the paper was releasing information from unnamed sources that deemed to be from the diplomatic station that were not following proper lines of communication to the Government. The Consul-General is supposed to be releasing/sharing information with the government via secure transmission lines or diplomatic pouch not through the newspaper. This is especially true due to a war with a non-conventional enemy the LTTE. And priority of information should first be with the government and only after government clearance should be disseminated through the media. This is not significant of a fascist government but of a non-linear/multi-national terrorist threat. The exact location of these "leaks" is still unknown but it has been surmised to be of detriment. http://www.lankabusinessonline.com/fullstory.php?nid=1258452693 This item from US Ambassador Robert Blake’s office looks a bit more professional on the surface. Mr. Blake’s item appears from a business publication and Mr. Blake chairs the Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka – known as the “American Chamber of Commerce”. Usually diplomats work through a Bureau of Investment not a “Chamber of Commerce” because of the level and complexity of diplomatic dealings. In this manner, it is unusual. In Mr. Blake’s piece it is stated that Sri Lanka is considered “One of the most dangerous places for journalists in the world after Iraq” What both Sri Lanka and Iraq are learning is that threats posed against the established government include hit-and-run incidents that share a very high degree of mutual occurrence. These events include synchronized, international attacks from different terror elements in a same or sequential time frame. A recent event that comes to mind were the spate of multiple child abductions – these occurred in a period of few days in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iraq and one other country that is not currently coming to mind. Prior to that there was a spate of attacks on diplomatic drivers, prior to that there was a series of assassination attempts on Presidents and Prime Ministers. This is indicative of terror networks that I first noticed the existence of in 2006. I have not only reported these events to my government, but also to yours, to Europol and the British Home Office. Whenever I see another sequence-I report it. It has become standard procedure in places such as the Middle East, Israel, Iraq and Sri Lanka to recuse press coverage and NGO/INGO interaction with terrorist elements or within high security threat areas because press/NGO security cannot be guaranteed in a non-linear, multi-national, synchronized threat environments. The press wants autonomy of movement without consultation of military or government but at the same time wants the government to instantaneously act/react when an incident is perpetrated against that body. There is an ongoing investigation Mr. Blake to ascertain what and who caused the attacks at Sirasa studios. My question is as follows: are Shakthi and Sirasa both housed at the same location or at different locations and is there more than one studio? http://transcurrents.com/tc/2009/01/post_251.html This piece also does not have a by-line. It is also in no way representative of unbiased journalism or even professional journalism as it has spelling and contextual errors as well as lack of journalistic style that would leave it to be categorized as a propaganda piece. Being propaganda, displayed as journalism, the first question that comes to mind is who does it benefit and where did it originate? “Most of the terror squad were wearing trousers, tee- shirts and boots. They were young and physically fit and were close – cropped and clean – shaven. I THOUGHT THEY WERE MASKED GUNMEN According to a statement made to the Police by employees the attackers were very atheletic and conducted themselves like the “hamudawe” (military).” It is well known that not only does the government have military so does the militant terrorist organization LTTE. And though the LTTE recruits may be thin, malnourished and non-professional, the command and supervisory forces are well built, well fed, clean cut and well organized. They are known to drive about in “white vans” which they have received from several sources including NGOs. http://uk.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUKTRE5052Q620090106?sp=true This piece does have a by-line; the information from the very first sentence differs from the previous piece that in great detail describes physical features. “Masked gunmen threw grenades and destroyed the main studio of Sri Lanka's largest private broadcaster Tuesday, days after state media criticised it for coverage of a Tamil Tiger suicide blast.” http://transcurrents.com/tc/2009/01/post_250.html This piece mostly includes a press release – in This is what I mean about non-conventional, symetrical attacks http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090107/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/lt_mexico_tv_attack;_ylt=Ak5_kL0bNvRAeDwfgFy.8jm3IxIF CHECK DRAFTS
Pmag with remaining round counter? I know i have seen them online at one time and finally have the money and time to pick some up but now i cant seem to find them. they are 30 round AR15 mags with a remaining round counter in the floor plate. basically how it worked is the floor plate of the mag was a little larger, an inside of this floor plate there was some little thing that kept track of the rounds remaining in your mag and displayed it on two different windows. One on the spine of the mag all the way at the bottom so that it could be seen wile in the weapon, an the second was on the floor plate its self so that it could be viewed wile the mag is in your mag pouch. the numbers were also color coded to make thing a little faster for the eye in a fire fight. 30-20 rounds the window was green, 19-10 yellow window, 9-0 red window. of course that's not exact but that's roughly how the one that i looked at worked. dose anyone know where i can find these mags? cause they would be really nice for a grunt like me.
It was easy to equate making the sign of the Cross on the forehead with the Greek letter “X” (chi - the first letter of the name of Christ in Greek) as it was made with the same gesture. By the 4th century, the sign of the Cross began to be traced by two (the index and middle) fingers. It also reflected how bishops or (beginning with the 4th century) presbyters (when they began to function as priests) blessed others; the classic Roman gesture for public speaking was the two fingers extended. By the 8th century, the two fingers came to symbolize the two natures of Christ and to distinguish Christians in the East under Islamic rule from Muslims who, as some sources from that time show, lifted “one finger when asking Allah for forgiveness.” Evidence from the 8th century shows the shift of tracing the sign of the Cross to over the body in the wake of the Iconoclastic Controversy. In destroying/removing icons from churches, the iconoclasts replaced them with paintings/mosaics of large Crosses (usually a major sized one in the apse of the Altar), a symbol with which all, iconoclasts and iconophiles (lovers of icons), could agree. With no icons in the churches, other symbols (like the making of the sign of the Cross) were greatly magnified by iconoclasts to show that they were not trying to be impious. While Iconoclasm was heretical, the symbol of the Cross was not. After the controversy ended with the Seventh Ecumenical Council (787), iconophiles continued the practice of tracing the sign of the Cross over the body (head to heart to shoulders—right to left, as when traced on the forehead, in both East and West) with the two fingers. By mid 9th century the “three fingers” are replacing the “two finger sign” (though in the East it did not become universal until after the 17th century following the Old Believer Schism in Russia), expanding the focus that through the crucified Jesus we enter communion with the Holy Trinity. In the 13th century in the West, we have the first mention of some who “make the sign of the Cross from the left to the right,” the reasons varying from crossing from misery (left) to glory (right) to mirroring the priest blessing them. Oriental Orthodox Christians (Coptic, Armenian, etc.) cross themselves left to right, seeing the meaning as praying that they not be on the left but on the right of the Judgment Seat (whether this developed independently or as a result of later Western/Latin influence is, as of yet, historically unclear). Later centuries would see the West become universal in not only crossing from left to right but also in changing from using the three fingers to using the whole (open) hand. Regardless of how the Cross was (is) traced in the various traditions, the Church has understood its expression as concretely identifying oneself with the Lord who, through His crucifixion, fully participates in our humanity, which then, as seen in the resurrection-ascension, brings us to organically participate in the life of the Trinity. The Cross symbolizes (“brings together”) God’s organic descent into death and darkness, through which we are given back to Him. It also symbolizes our embracing the spiritual battle within the deserts of our hearts and choosing to see things from the perspective of the God who shows His all-powerful and sovereign Love by giving up control of His very life on the Cross.
How could I improve "Where Mortals Fear To Tread"? The stranger rode through the gates of the city with a determined frown upon his scarred but not unhandsome features. His ebony steed trotted proudly under him and his hand rested easily upon the ornately fashioned hilt of the sword which hung by his side as he slowly made his way into the heart of the sprawling township. He had travelled long and far, but his quest would soon be over he told himself. Thank the gods! He directed his mount down the narrow, uneven streets of the crowded market place, his dark, smouldering eyes, like fiery embers, staring hard at each trader, obviously in search of someone. Those that noticed his piercing stare shuddered and quickly averted their eyes, pretending, unconvincingly, that they were unaware of the stranger's gaze. "Pity the man he's looking for", they thought to themselves. The stranger, for his part, as if ignorant of the eyes which fixed on his back as he passed, continued to wend his way through the swarming populace, until, eventually, his attention was arrested by an elderly, cadaverous individual, who was stooped over a stall with a variety of menacing instruments displayed upon it. There was congealed blood on the instruments, and also on the stallholder's threadbare habiliments, and when the stranger noticed this, not for the first time since he had begun his mission, he trembled inwardly. He dismounted and approached the man, who, regarding the stranger with interest, drew back the flap of the tent behind the stall, entered, and beckoned him to follow. The stranger cautiously obliged and stepped inside. He scrutinised the gloomy interior at great length and studied the stallholder nervously. "Are you Korath?", he at last demanded from the man, who in comparison to the stranger seeed almost like a dwarf, although, in truth, he was of no mean stature. There was hesitation in his voice, and the stallholder, sensing this, allowed a contemptuous sneer to flicker across his vulture-like features. "And what if I am?", he enquired softly, unintimidated by the other's height, his sepulchural tone sending an icy chill of fear down the stranger's spine. "I seek a man named Korath", said the stranger edgily, and then, injecting bravado into his voice, "and from the description I was given, or, I should rather say, extracted......". Here he faltered, as if, from somewhere far away, an unpleasant remembrance, long suppressed, had suddenly resurfaced in his mind's eye. Recovering quickly from his momentary pause, however, he went on, "......from a whelp now dead, you appear to be he whom I seek!" As he spoke, a black servant, at least equal to the stranger's great height, and almost twice as broad, entered the tent bearing the various strange implements that had been exhibited outside, and set them to rest upon a rough-hewn, bloodstained wooden table. The stallholder edged his way closer to the bench, trying to conceal his furtive manner with a casual air, but the stranger, with a sudden look of fear and anger, swept the man's legs from under him with a powerful kick. "Your actions betray your identity!", he thundered. "I was a fool to come here!". "Do you truly believe you had a choice in the matter?", the stallholder cackled, picking himself up from the floor. The stranger, puzzled by the man's words, momentarily stood undecided in his actions. The stallholder, taking advantage of this weakness, shouted a command in a strange tongue to the ebony servant, who instantly moved towards the stranger in an attempt to subdue him. However, the stranger, now galvanised into frenzied activity, drew his mighty sword from his side and beheaded the servant with one fierce, swift stroke. The bloodied torso tottered for a moment, and then, like a marionette whose strings had been suddenly severed, fell to the ground, a lifeless husk. Unnoticed by the stranger, however, the stallholder had meanwhile crept around behind him, withdrawing something from under one of the folds in his robe as he did so. There was a sudden flash of movement as a vicious bludgeon cleaved through the air towards the stranger's unprotected head. The next moment, consciousness was racing abruptly away from him, to be replaced by the fearful, terrifying clutch of an all-enveloping, icy darkness. When the stranger came to, he found himself reclining on several cushions of a luxurious purple velvet, which, although oddly at variance with the other, rather spartan, trappings, were spread of the floor of the tent. For a moment he wondered where he was, and then, remembering, a look of dread flashed through his eyes, but disappeared when he realised he was alive and unhurt. The emaciated visage of the stallholder appeared before him, nodding benignly. "Is it done?", the stranger asked, incredulously. "It is done!", replied the man called Korath. The stranger rose to his feet and removed six gleaming gold coins from a well-worn leather pouch which hung from his belt and tossed them onto th Oops! Ran out of space. The stranger rose to his feet and removed six gleaming gold coins from a well-worn leather pouch which hung from his belt and tossed them onto the table. "One for your services, the other five to replace your slave", he said, nodding in the direction of the corpse, which still lay, undisturbed, where it had fallen. "A thousand pardons for my disrespectful behaviour earlier", begged the stranger, "some demon must have possessed my senses. I...I just lost my head". "As did my servant", said Korath, good-naturedly. "I trust you won't reveal my cowardice to anyone", continued the stranger, nervously toying with his cloak in an attempt to cover his embarrassment. "I swear by Krell, old one, that it was totally unlike me. Usually I'm quite stout-hearted. A curse on my head if I'm lying to you!". "Never fear", soothed Korath with a twinkle in his eye. "Even the bravest of men fear a visit to...the tooth-extractor!". He chortled inwardly to himself as he handed the stranger his recently removed molar and watched him depart. Absolutely no t/ds from me...period.
