Do you have a child hood Christmas memory that stands out in your mind? I remember a Christmas when I got a doll and a baby buggy that was almost full sized. I loved that baby doll. I need a perfect gift for my (buddhist) sister's quinceanera? It will be a joint gift from me and my mother, most likely, and she suggested a musical jewelry box, which I think my sister would like, but she's NOT "girly" at all and and she'd want one to reflect that, I believe. It was to be an open adoption.We visited her every three months or so , as they live quite a ways from our home.The biological birth mother was a drug addict trying to abort the baby because it was tool late for a legal abortion.My son begged her to stop but she wouldn't . They cancelled the wedding plans, and our son came back home to live with us.The birth mother lied on the adoption papers and because of that the adoptive parents will not allow our son any rights to see his daughter. We then pulled away from the relationship as when it began we had no clue our son would not be included in this.So I went on Face book to find the birth mother and begged her to tell the adoptive parents the truth in hopes that our son would finally get to meet his daughter.Unfortunately she is just the same as she used to be, and now wishes my son dies soon(sweet girl huh?) and she has continued to lie to the adoptive parents.Now she is accusing me of stalking her on Face book(isn't that what face book is all about finding people). I wrote her a letter , there were no threats or anything of that nature. Also in May my granddaughter was to be in a dance recital, I tried to order the DVD of it, but could not connect with anyone from the dance studio . I e-mailed twice and called once-still no reply.Over a three week period of time.( I was then told by the adoptive mother that this was concerning) So I went ahead and bought tickets for the show and called the adoptive parents and told them I'd like to come and see the show if it was alright by them. They said I could come and the adoptive mother said she'd even get the DVD for me, because I had told her in our phone conversation what trouble I had trying to get a hold of the dance studio. also told them If I saw them I would not seek them out, I did not want to confuse my granddaughter with wondering why I don't come to visit anymore. I saw them and kept my word.I had also said I had a package for them, but felling like I might be trespassing so I would not come on their property but leave it with a mutual friend up there and he would drop if off to them. They knew all this before this before I came up.One of which was my granddaughter's birthday present, a very expensive musical jewelry box that says to my granddaughter and it plays you are my sunshine and it was filled with a real lavender jade necklace. Any way now they too are considering me a stalker too. Even thought I emailed and called to get permission to come and explained every thing I was going to do. I kept my word and even restrained myself, because when I saw her I wanted so badly to hug her, but I knew that would not be the best thing to do.So tell me people knowing all this and checking with the police dept . here they do not consider this stalking. There will be around 200 kids & their parents, and 30 volunteers (all hs girls) at activity stations throughout the center. These are the stations planned out so far: ~ Witches Walk (kind of like musical chairs) ~ Freaky Face Painting ~ Ghost Darts (velcro dart board) ~ Bean bag toss ~ Spooky Spin Wheel ~ Witch Crafts:decorating pumpkins, painting face masks, making jewelry, creating spiders out of pompon's & pipe cleaners & pasta skeletons, painting ~ Spooky Story Telling ~ Ghost Pops: putting tissue over lollipops & decorating them ~ Mystery Boxes: boxes filled with grapes (eyes), tofu (brains), apricots (ears), popcorn kernels (teeth) that the kids will stick their hands into Do these activities sound fun & creative enough? Could you please suggest some more ideas? I need to come up with at least four other activity stations. We're getting the costumes & jack o lanterns donated, and there will be candy & goodies at every station for them to trick or treat. I'm a senior in HS & have never thrown a party for kids, so I'd appreciate any ideas or advice anyone may have. THANKS! : )
